There will be training sessions for those who would like to learn Latin every Thursday at 4pm at the Our Lady of Victories Church in New Manila Quezon City. The facilitator of the training sessions will be Father Suelo, SSPX.

LAtin Training conducted by SSPX... a pandoras box...
Fr Seulo... is a renegade priest from Diocese of San Pablo...
Can we please be optimistic? Who cares if it is conducted by the SSPX. I have no arguments if it were conducted by a Fundamentalist Baptist Reformed Church. It's just language "school".
Hi Anon, it would be better if you post your name to add credibility.
This is a wake up call for the Church establishment here in the Philippnes for their lack of no interest all for Latin, which is still the official language of the Church.
i'm sorry for the typographical errors, i mean to say for the church establishment's lack or no interest at all for latin, Deo Gratias.
I join with others to express concern about the PROMOTION of a SSPX-lead event. We should be careful not to lead people into schism. SSPX's schism is so new and their practices so close to licit Catholic ones that many may not realize that the SSPX are not loyal to the See of Peter. It is our Catholic duty not to lead people astray. No one would confuse a Baptist with a Catholic but many might confuse a SSPX priest with a Catholic one. Nor would PROMOTE a speech by a Baptist to people's whose faith might be confused. It might be OK for us to attend. But to promote? No.
Small steps to reconciliation Bruce as prayed for by our Holy Father.
Gerald, I was thinking about this and have changed my mind. In the name of ecumenicalism and healing the division, it is probably OK to promote it. I am still concerned about leading good Catholics astray but such is solved with a line about the SSPX being schismatic. That should prevent any confusion by those unfamiliar with the situation.
