The Parish of the Lord of the Divine Mercy, Diocese of Cubao, in cooperation with the Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph recently celebrated the Holy Week of 2009 according to the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite under the leadership of Rev. Father Michell Joe Zerrudo.
The celebrations were attended, actively participated, meditated upon, and shared by both the regular parishioners of the parish and the TLM community. The parish altar servers committed their time to learn and practice the rubrics of the rite while the readers provided english translation of the Epistles after it was said in Latin. Others helped in preparing the flowers, carosas and other materials needed for the celebration. This year, the choir of the Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph, provided the beautiful chants and sacred music for the whole Holy Week celebrations.
The rite of the Holy Week according to the extraordinary form was also celebrated last year.

Happy Birthday Mr. Dennis Maturan
A Happy Birthday to Mr. Dennis Raymond Maturan, the founder and current chairman of the Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph. He and the Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph together with Msgr. Andrade, Msgr. Ramirez and Father Michell Joe Zerrudo were instrumental in providing the catholic flock attached to the older form of the Mass regular Sunday Traditional Latin Masses during the days of the indult.
Now in the Age of Summorum Pontificum, the Ecclesia Dei Society of St. Joseph with Mr. Dennis Raymond Maturan and Father Michell Joe Zerrudo continues its mission to promote and preserve valid Roman Catholic culture, tradition, liturgy and music; especially the celebration of the Holy Mass according to the Missal of Blessed John XXIII.

Lord of the Divine Mercy Week Day Private Mass Continues
The weekday private Mass offered by Father Zerrudo continues. He says "We are presently trying our best to make the Mass according to the 1962 Missal more readily available to all." The weekday private Masses shall be offered this week from Monday to Saturday at 3:00pm except on Tuesday at 8:00am. He is appealing for altar servers who would assist at his private Mass and also some of the parishioners to sing Gregorian Chant.
The Eclessia Dei Society of St. Joseph is also currently publishing Sunday Mass missalettes for those who cannot afford to buy a missal. The missalette contains English translations of the Propers of the Mass and other inspirational materials from legitimate sources.
