But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
On the first Sunday of Advent, 2008, Father Michell Joe Zerrudo on his 15th sacredotal anniversary celebrated a solemn High Mass with Father Joseph Skelton who served as deacon and Msgr Moises Andrade as subdeacon.
May there be more traditional Catholic priest like these three men of God. Padre Zerrudo we thank you for giving us the true Sacrifice of Calvary, and the life of our Lord Jesus Christ through the sacraments. I personally thank you also for teaching and propagating Catholic doctrine and the traditional Catholic faith. May you have more years in your ministry. Though you priests have pledge holy celibacy to Holy Mother Church, yet may you multiply in number and spiritually beget more sons and daughters for the true Catholic faith.
I tripped upon this blog and I'd like to comment on the questions regarding the use blue vestments.
The Mass was celebrated in the first Sunday of Advent gives the reason why the vestments are blue. If you check the ORDO 2010 published by the Episcopal Commission on Liturgy of the CBCP, one can read on page xxxi, no.5 the following: "The official color for the season of Advent is violet. In order to distinguish between this season and the specifically penitential season of Lent, the BLUER HUES of violet may be used during Advent." There is the answer to the 2 queries above.

is it okay to use blue vestments?
hey..why are they using blue vestments? Was it considered as a liturgical color in the Philippines even before Vatican II?
