Ad Orientem Mass for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Every 2nd Monday of the month, the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the holy souls in Purgatory at the side chapel of the Manila Cathedral. This morning at 11am, Father Michell Joe Zerrudo, vested in a black chasuble, offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass according to the Missal of Pope Paul VI, the ordinary form of the Roman Rite, facing the "east" together with congregation using the original stone altar of the chapel. Father Zerrudo was appointed by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin as the Spiritual Director of the PWHS in 1999.

The Prayer Warrior of the Holy Souls aims to create and spread a global awareness on the plight of the holy souls in purgatory through sustainable efforts: to pray for the holy souls; to strengthen the faith and longing for holiness of the Prayer Warriors; and to tap resources to sustain the apostolate.

Don't raise the chasuble too high :-)

Gerald, in novus ordo missae, the chasuble is not raised.
