I know that this is often seen as idolatry and with great suspicion. I've even had a Filipino lady tell me to say hello to "her" (which was a statue of the Blessed Virgin).

I think in our culture (i'm Filipino as well). We are putting too much emphasis on this. I am no Protestant, I love our tradition of having statues... but I think we, as Filipinos, often go overboard.Katolicohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149729347323246565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9504617.post-4242283917166348332008-03-26T21:09:00.000+08:002008-03-26T21:09:00.000+08:00Thanks for visiting! Thanks for visiting!Geraldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14355880820309536240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9504617.post-32132374493244077832008-03-26T07:24:00.000+08:002008-03-26T07:24:00.000+08:00great pics!great pics!latinmass1983https://www.blogger.com/profile/18109855026898340656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9504617.post-80304466315581198762008-03-25T05:15:00.000+08:002008-03-25T05:15:00.000+08:00nice blog!nice blog!Gazeta da Restauraçãohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00726192694474052604noreply@blogger.com
